KAREN OBERLIN BRINGS “HEART & SOUL” TO THE OAK ROOM IN A FRANK LOESSER CENTENARY SALUTE JUNE 1-19

OakRoomWinter2010 One of the most sought-after singers in the world of cabaret, multi-award-winner Karen Oberlin returns to the Oak Room with a centenary salute to the great Hollywood and Broadway songwriter Frank Loesser. Karen will lend her matchless interpretations to such classics as “Heart and Soul,” “Baby, It’s Cold Outside,” “What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve,” “Spring Will Be A Little Late This Year” and “I Don’t Want To Walk Without You.” She will sing “I Believe in You” and “If I Were A Bell” from the Broadway output of the quadruple Tony, Academy Award, Grammy Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer and lyricist.

Shows are Tuesday through Thursday at 8:30 and Friday and Saturday at 8:30 and 11, with a $50 cover charge ($25 for late weekend shows) plus either a $30 food and beverage minimum or $60 prix fixe dinner. Acclaimed jazz pianist Jon Weber and incomparable bassist Sean Smith completes the trio. Award-winning Eric Michael Gillett directs.

TRANSFERRING THIS FALL TO BROADWAY

ACCLAIMED PRODUCTION OF DONALD MARGULIES’ PLAY,

DIRECTED BY DANIEL SULLIVAN

TO RESUME PERFORMANCES SEPTEMBER 23, 2010

TIME STANDS STILL, which yesterday received a Tony nomination for Best Play, will transfer this fall to Broadway to a Shubert theatre to be announced. The play, by Pulitzer Prize Winner Donald Margulies, directed by Tony Award winner Daniel Sullivan, will star acclaimed original cast members: Laura Linney, Brian d’Arcy James, and Eric Bogosian.

TIME STANDS STILL, which enjoyed an extended sold-out run at Manhattan Theatre Club’s Samuel J. Friedman Theatre this spring, will resume performances Thursday, September 23, 2010. Tickets for the production will go on sale Monday, May 31, 2010. The production will be on hiatus until the fall to accommodate Linney’s commitment to her new Showtime series “The Big C” which is now in production and will premiere Monday, August 16, 2010.

Transferring with the production will be original cast members: Laura Linney, Brian d’Arcy James, and Eric Bogosian
